CONSULTATION
During your consultation I will take a brief medical history and establish if you would like a massage for relaxation and stress purposes or if you require a deep tissue massage to improve flexibility and help with aches and pains etc.

When is Massage not advisable?
If you are suffering from:-
  • A cold or flu
  • Generally not feeling well
  • Broken bones and bruising
  • Infectious diseases
  • Recent surgery
  • Cancer  (GP written consent required)

AFTER CARE ADVICE
To extend the benefits of your massage please follow the following recommendations:-
  • Drink plenty of water and/or herbal tea.
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine.
  • Relax and take some time for yourself.
  • Eat light meals.
  • Be aware of your posture and breathing.
  • Practise meditation or yoga.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER MASSAGE THERAPY?
The results of a massage vary from person to person. It is advisable to take it easy for a few hours after any Massage Therapy.
Generally clients report feeling very relaxed, up-lifted, grounded, freer movement, less stressed and anxious, calmer and pain free.

Occasionally after massage you may experience any of the following 'Healing Affects'

  • Headaches
  • Tiredness
  •  Nausea
  •  Dizziness
  •  Increased Urination
  •  Increases bowel movements
  •  Depression (weeping)
  •  Improved skin tone & circulation 

These should only be temporary and last for a short time while your body adjusts to the benefits it has just received.
