Reiki Healing & Fertility
What is Reiki?
Reiki - pronounced 'Ray key' originated in Japan in the early 1920's. 'Rei' meaning universal and 'Ki' meaning life force energy.
Reiki is a natural healing technique which encourages the body's own natural ability to heal itself. It is gentle yet powerful and induces a state of deep relaxation, balancing and nourishing the mind, body and spirit.
During the treatment I would take a brief medical history and I would ask you to lay on the couch fully clothed. You will be made comfortable and warm. I cover you with a blanket and all you have to do is relax. You can even fall asleep if you wish. As I proceed with the treatment you may feel my hands on or above you. You may experience a warm or tingly feeling throughout your body.
Reiki has many benefits. Reiki may help with relaxation and stress reduction. Most clients report improved general well-being after a treatment. Most clients feel more peaceful and balanced, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Reiki may also help with physical ailments, aches and pains as well as promoting a more positive outlook on life in general.
Reiki is such a gentle and non invasive technique that it can be carried out during pregnancy, on babies, children, the frail and elderly. It is often used in hospitals and other professional practices.
How can Reiki help with Fertility?
Reiki is a pure, positive and nurturing energy.
Life in general, our belief systems and our life history can all have an impact on our energy body which is also known as our energy field or aura. When our energy body becomes out of balance our physical body is more often than not affected in some way. Quite often when a couple have been on a fertility journey for quite some time with no success, their energy bodies become low and depleted. The constant stress and strains of trying to conceive. either naturally or with assisted help can take over your thought processes and can result in physical symptoms. This very often affects the reproductive and digestive systems along with hormones that support ovulation and fertility. The reproductive organs are the only dispensable organs in the body. They are able to shut down independently in order to protect the body's health. Feelings of sadness, anger, failure, frustration, grief, worry, fear and vulnerability are just a few of the emotions that churn over and over when you are struggling to conceive. These negative emotions can take a toll on your energy body over time and wear you down. Reiki can help by inducing a state of deep relaxation, which encourages your mind, body and spirit to release any negative energy you may be holding on to, either physically, mentally or emotionally. Reiki can help nurture you into a place of acceptance of where you currently are in your journey, again helping to release any negative imprints you may have collected along the way. Reiki helps to restore trust and positivity. Each treatment is unique and tailored to each client. I may also use Crystals, Rebozos, (a swaddling technique to instil a feeling of deep nurturing) Sound and Visualisations during Reiki treatments to help women connect to their wombs. Reiki treatments can be carried out at any point during the menstrual cycle. Many clients find Reiki to be very comforting during the 2 week wait. Reiki treatments are ideal for anyone trying to conceive naturally, with IVF or IUI etc, also after miscarriage or child loss, failed IVF attempts, unexplained infertility, secondary infertility, or any fertility issue. Reiki treatments are ideal to have along side Fertility Massage sessions.
